Honda Performance Likely to Remain Green

honda cr-z image Honda fans were dismayed by the automaker’s decision to cancel the replacement for the Acura NSX. But, that hasn’t stopped Honda from producing performance cars altogether. Recently unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show is the latest version of the 2011 Honda CR-Z hybrid sports hatchback.

With the range of high-performance cars and supercars currently on the market, particularly newer models such as the Nissan GT-R, Lexus FLA and Audi R8, a used Honda dealer St Louis recognize that the Acura NSX would need to differentiate itself to be a competitively player. Rather than focus on that niche, Honda instead chooses to enter the more unchartered territory of performance hybrids.

Honda CEO Takanobu Ito was on hand at the Tokyo Motor Show to explain that the automaker wanted to build a sports car that truly symbolizes their technology. According to Louisville Auto Loans specialists, the CR-Z certainly fits within that desire as it balances performance and environmental friendliness. Using the opportunity to take a jab at their main rival’s new supercar entry, Ito said that “the era of V-10 engines is gone."

Ito knows performance cars says Honda Car Loans, particularly since he was involved in the development of the NSX. Combining this with the fact that even BMW is diving into eco-friendly performance, it’s likely that Honda will be blazing a new trail with the release of the CR-Z hybrid, which is likely to spawn many imitators.
